melissa_inmanpark_cropHey there! I’m a writer and happily married mom of 2 — soon to be 3, all in diapers. Once a super-skinny girl (105 lbs in college!), I’m now in that midlife nexus of marriage, kids and work where it’s a huge struggle to make time to exercise. It would be easy to call the extra pounds I’ve put on “normal,” especially considering the growing propensity of Americans to eat more and exercise less, but I think that deep down we all know better.  

But if there’s anything more American than losing weight, it’s blogging about losing weight, right?

The day after this blog went live, I found out I was pregnant again, proving that blogging about postpartum issues is second only to giving away your baby and maternity clothes in terms of signaling to the universe that yes, you are ready for a new baby. 

For the past several months this blog has been more about morning sickness and antepartum issues. Come September, when this baby arrives, I hope to be back on the exercise wagon.
